MET GALA 2023: Penelope Cruz, Dua Lipa, and more to co-chair fashion's most special event

The 2023 Met Gala's official co-chairs have been chosen! On the first Monday in May, the most anticipated fashion event will take place, with this year's show honoring the debut of "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.

One of the biggest fundraising events in New York City will include Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, and Michaela Coel serving as co-chairs alongside Anna Wintour. The event will benefit the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The co-chairs will be in charge of a number of duties, such as compiling the exclusive guest list, collaborating with renowned chefs on the themed food, and assembling the night's ambiance with the aid of interior designers.

"Excited to announce that, along with Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer, and Anna Wintour, I will serve as one of the MetGala 2023 Co-Chairs. Announcing the event as "The Costume Institute's principal source of annual fundraising for exhibitions, publications, acquisitions, operations, and capital renovations," Dua wrote on Instagram, "See you for the First Monday in May."

Karl Lagerfeld and his designs will be honored with tributes from A-LIST celebrities and VIP guests. Penelope, who is known to be pals with the legendary designer and even walked the runway at his final Chanel show, also expressed her delight to be engaged as co-chair.
