On September 29, 2002, Kate and her ex-husband Hack welcomed their one and only child. When Lila was born in London, the supermodel was 28 years old.
Despite calling herself a "workaholic" in 2008, Kate always put her daughter's needs first, making sure she was home in time for Lila's nighttime routine, which Kate called "the best part of the day."
She's a model
Lila began her own modeling career in 2018 as the newest face of Marc Jacobs Beauty. She was signed to Kate Moss Agency, the same modeling agency as her mother.
She has since participated in the Miu Miu SS20 campaign, and in October 2020, she will make her runway debut for the Italian fashion company. The brand's spring/summer 2021 Paris Fashion Week presentation, which featured a socially remote runway and virtual audience, was introduced by Lila. She first strutted down the runway in a dazzling pink halter-neck top and an orange miniskirt combo from the brand's collection, followed by a blue collared blouse, an oversized jacket, and a black mini-skirt embellished with rhinestones.

Lila was only six years old when Kate expressed her desire to shield her from the spotlight in an interview with Now Magazine. In an interview from 2008, the model stated that her "dream is for my daughter to be happy" and that she wants her to "grow up like a normal girl, far from fame."
In a 2022 interview with British Vogue, Lila claimed that her mother had discouraged her from modeling since she was a little child. She told the outlet, "She was always like, "If you want to do it, you can, but I wouldn't advocate it.
She's following in her mom's footsteps
Lila appears in Calvin Klein's Fall 2022 advertisement, which debuted the model thirty years after Kate's seminal 1992 campaign. The ad features Lila posing in a black tank top and jeans that show the waistband of her CK brand underwear. It was shot and directed by Alasdair McLellan. She wears a translucent black button-down over a bra and black pants in her second outfit.
According to a release, the photographs are "a nod to the stripped-back images the brand is known for, capturing each talent's true confidence."
She has type 1 diabetes

The aspiring model talked out about having type 1 diabetes in a 2020 interview with The Kit. Type 1 diabetes is a chronic condition that demands insulin injections (either by needle or pump) to maintain blood sugar levels within a healthy range.
Lila stated, "I don't think many people are aware that I have diabetes. "Since it isn't apparent from the outside, nobody would likely suspect just by looking at you. I'm a type 1.
Lila strutted the runway for Fendi x Versace's "Fendace" show during Milan Fashion Week in 2021, proudly displaying the insulin pump she uses to control her diabetes. The tubeless gadget, attached to her left leg, was clearly visible under her bodysuit and baroquely embroidered jacket. One Instagram commenter thanked the model for de-stigmatizing the disease, writing: "Thank you for revealing your pod!! inspiring a lot of diabetics worldwide.
She attended the 2022 Met Gala with her mom

Along with her mother, Lila attended her first Met Gala in 2022. Lila wore a revealing bodysuit with a sheer embroidered overlay, while Kate wore an off-the-shoulder double-breasted gown with sheer tights and Jimmy Choo shoes as they walked the red carpet together.
