"The exposed lingerie trend is alive and well."
Natalie Portman championed the revival of the little black dress with a sexy daytime look that she debuted yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The LBD was a silky minidress with a structured corseted bodice and a bulbous miniskirt that highlighted the hourglass shape. While the main piece was strapless, it included a built-in triangle bralette with sheer cups and frilly black lace on the sides, demonstrating how sophisticated the exposed-lingerie trend can be.
Portman finished her look with strappy black sandals and a red mani-pedi. She wore a subtle black liner, a red lip, and pink blush, with her hair styled down and straight.

The May December star wore another sleek all-black ensemble earlier this week, to the Governors Awards on Tuesday. It was a silky Schiaparelli slipdress with a large golden halterneck chain and a chest cutout. She glammed up with Kirsten Drew Jewelry.
Portman also walked the red carpet on Sunday for the 2024 Golden Globes. For that occasion, she abandoned the all-black color scheme in favor of a stunning white custom Dior piece that embodied spring. The spaghetti-strap, scoop-neck dress was covered in tiny star-shaped sequins in white, purple, yellow, blue, and green, creating the illusion of a dreamy field of flowers. Portman wore it with Jimmy Choo heels (not visible under the skirt) and silver teardrop earrings from De Beers.
Portman was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for her role as Elizabeth Berry in Netflix's drama May December, but she lost to Emma Stone (Poor Things).
