Following her appearance in Snowdrop, she received criticism for her acting from online users. The conflicting responses serve as a reminder of the difficulties Jisoo will have as she enters the competitive world of K-Drama, where acting ability is closely analyzed. Jisoo's agency, YG Entertainment, acknowledged that she has been offered the part and is considering it in response to the growing pressure. Influenza is merely one of the dramas that Jisoo has received bids for and is taking into consideration, they claimed.

Han Ji Won, a renowned screenwriter best known for her work on the critically acclaimed movie Parasite, wrote the screenplay for Influenza. An official broadcast date for the drama has not yet been disclosed, despite the hype surrounding it.
