The Milanese fashion house stated that Zhao's hiring is in line with the brand's mission to increase Versace's appeal and desire in China. In 2017, Zhao, who also goes by the name Zhao Lusi, started her acting career. She has quickly become one of China's biggest stars because to her innate skill.
Zhao has since gone on to play a number of prominent parts in television dramas, such as the fantasy romance Who Rules the World, the historical romance Love Like the Galaxy, and the TV drama Hidden Love, which became one of Netflix's most popular series in 2023 and won her widespread praise from all over the world.

Rosy has long been a devoted fan of Versace, and the fashion brand celebrated the collaboration as an homage to everyone she motivates both in her home China and globally. Zhao has worn Versace on multiple occasions, most notably during the Milan fashion show for the brand's Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
