Delphine was born near Paris on April 4, 1975, to Bernard Arnault and his first wife, Anne Dewavrin.

She became a part of fashion designer John Galliano's brand.
She joined fashion designer John Galliano's brand two years later to gain more industry experience. Galliano was also Dior's creative director at the time.
In 2005, she married an Italian wine heir.
In what Forbes called "France's wedding of the year," she married Alessandro Vallarino Gancia, but the couple divorced in 2010.
She became the LVMH executive committee youngest member.
Arnault, 43, became the LVMH executive committee's youngest member - and only the second woman - when she joined in 2019.
In January 2023, LVMH announced that she would take over as CEO of Christian Dior, succeeding Pietro Beccari, who will take over as CEO of Louis Vuitton.
