"They say good things take time."
Pieter Mulier's customized Alaïa look for Jennie Kim exemplifies this statement. The singer wore a royal blue gown to the 2024 Met Gala that took 200 hours and 13 meters of fabric to make.
Inspired by the fall 2024 collection, the custom look was created with a gauzy fabric that blew beautifully in tonight's spring breeze on the red carpet. While we don't know if Kim is a "winter" according to color analysis trends, we believe the royal blue shade was meant for her. However, the star, who can wear almost any silhouette, may also be one of the fortunate few who looks good in every color under the sun.
Kim chose a mini dress, just as she did last year. The only accessories required were simple pearl drop earrings and a belly chain. The singer recently announced a sunglass collaboration with Gentle Monster, which did not make an appearance on the carpet, but here's hoping to catch a glimpse of the sold-out sunglasses tonight at the after parties.
