Nothing destroys the appearance of big lips like a dry, chapped surface. I stopped wearing lipstick a few months ago for this precise reason; despite lots of sloughing and water-guzzling, my lips were still severely winter-worn.

The Laneige Lip Glowy Balm is a daily lip moisturizer that soothes and smoothes dry, flaky lips and is a complement to the company's nighttime lip treatments. Laneige's midday balm has an incredible butteriness, just like the nighttime mask. The balm comes in a handy pocket-sized tube and is more spreadable and thinner than the Overnight Lip Mask. Thanks to nourishing jojoba, cocoa, almond, and rose oils, which soothe lips immediately upon touch and over time, its consistency is equally calming.
It comes in five different smells, including gummy bear and berry, which made their debut in the nighttime lip mask collection. It leaves lips looking and feeling satisfied and imparts a sheer wash of barely visible, jelly-like hue. In fact, my twin sister, a U.S. Navy officer subject to stringent professional grooming requirements, adores the faint shade and remarks that it's more of a pleasing, healthy-looking glow than an actual color.
The midday balm not only enhances glowy, minimum-makeup looks but also works wonders with full-face makeup. I usually apply it as a lipstick primer in the morning before applying my everyday lipstick color. I reapply as necessary throughout the day to maintain constantly flake-free, smooth lips.
